Thomas R. Wyatt

Tom Wyatt is a veteran Workers’ Compensation attorney defending both state-fund and self-insured Ohio employers in workers compensation matters and work place liability claims.

He has successfully defended manufacturers, healthcare organizations, hospitals and retail establishments throughout Ohio in matters before the Ohio BWC and the Industrial Commission of Ohio. His clients call on his years of experience when faced with workplace injury claims, claims of chemical and other exposure issues, nerve injury, repetitive work claims and more.  Tom works diligently to help self-insured and state fund employers reduce their overall claims and employer expenses resulting from claims filed with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

Tom has assisted employers in obtaining self-insured status and has also successfully argued appeals of BWC orders denying self-insured status before the BWC self-insured review panel.  He works closely with employers and their third-party administrators to reduce overall claims costs and the number of allowed claims.

He has also successfully tried cases in the Courts of Common Pleas defending claims alleging diseases and injuries related to asbestos exposure, occupation disease, and workplace accidents.  Tom has also successfully defended employers in Mandamus Petitions in the Court of Appeals.

In his free time, he camps, mountain bikes, and is involved in his church.  He lives in Bath with his wife and son.
